You can compare the deionized water vs distilled water but to say that the distilled water is the same as deionized water is a mistake. When we take all factors into account distilled water has the highest quality for a cosmetic lab but distilled water is not always achievable and affordable. As an alternative you can use deionized or ro water in your cosmetic lab. Of course it will need to be treated by more than just deionization to be useful for most of these situations. Best practise is to use freshly boiled water in your cosmetic lab.

Distilled water is a type of purified water that is essentially free from contaminants. You don t generally want to substitute one type of water for the other but if you have deionized water made from distilled water that has been sitting out exposed to air it becomes ordinary distilled water. Deionized water will not remove neutral organic compounds bacteria or viruses whereas distilled water will purify the water of those things. Deionized water and distilled water are both types of extremely pure water but they are produced in two distinctly different ways.
